Movie takes place in North Carolina at a vacation house out of season. Paul, a surgeon from Raleigh, has booked a room to attend to some extremely difficult personal business in town. Adrienne is a separated mom whose husband left her for another woman and now wants her back. She is seriously entertaining the thought of going back to him. She is filling in as the manager at the vacation house for her friend who is out of town in Florida for the weekend. Both are going through pain on this trip, and they basically find each other over a few days when a hurricane hits the beach house. Attraction builds between Paul and Adrienne.
